Moody and a brilliant edit... I can see this photo at the beginning of a movie scene.

Chris Lord replied:

That's why I named it after the movie! It was truly surreal out there on the front deck of the ferry, windy and very cold but so worth it to get this shot. Pleased that you enjoyed it Krzysztof, thank you most kindly, cheers

Patricia Strand

Awesome! This makes me feel like I am standing on an ice floe floating into the city. Great atmosphere!

Chris Lord replied:

Thanks so much Patricia, you make freezing out there on the ferry so worth it. Cheers

Hey, Chris! From one "Old Fart" to another, that's the dickens of a shot! And I've watched that movie about a dozen times, at least...lol...don't know why I like it so much, but well, there ya go. Anyway, nice work!

Chris Lord replied:

So pleased that you enjoyed this one Michelle, as far as the movie is concerned once was enough for me and the same for going out on the ferry to catch this - once was enough! :-) Thanks so much for the great comment, cheers

Fantastic mood, another wonderful image Chris! L/F

Chris Lord replied:

It took me 5 days to get out of the house and go get this shot after seeing a friends iPhone shot of the ice on the harbor. I'm so glad I finally got it together and went. It was fun out there in the snow although I could barely see anything at all. Passed Ms. Liberty twice without seeing her at all! My friends shot had a pretty blue sky but I got the drama! Much appreciate your comment and that f/l Tami, thanks very much indeed.

Fabulous mood created...great work!!

Chris Lord replied:

This time I didn't have to do that much, mother nature provided most of the atmosphere all by herself! Many many thanks Robin-Lee, cheers

Meg Shearer

Meg Shearer

Fantastic capture Chris! Wonderful atmosphere and tones! L/F!

Chris Lord replied:

I admit some influence on the tones but other than that the weather provided most of the drama here Meg. All I did was to risk riding a ferry in deep fog, out on the lower deck in the wind whipped snow and grab the shot as it emerged from the murk. :-) Thanks so much for your kind visit, cheers
