Description
It's a lovely day at the Duxford aerodrome with a blue sky and pretty clouds over the vintage B-17 bomber at rest on the grass. Overhead a large formation of fighter aircraft including Spitfires and Hurricanes flies off into the wild blue yonder

Well then, may I be the one to suggest that everything happens for a reason, like my good wife always says, and the biplane stayed just so it could be the most intriguing part that ties all the image together! And thanks for the comment about the sharp eye. After I crossed the pond, dumped my tea in Boston Harbor and became a little league coach I migrated to the expression “good eye!” But you never forget the original expressions :-) You have some very good work here, Chris. It’s a joy going through it.

Hellcats, Corsair, Messerschmitt, Spits... and totally bare naked nose art? And something very peculiar is going on behind the tail gun of the B-17. Is that the tail gunner himself chatting up the pilot of the biplane which is probably a regular at Pancho Barnes; Happy Bottom Riding Club?

Hmmm...I probably should have taken the time to clean that up and removed the biplane but I guess I thought no-one would notice it :-) A sharp eye you have sir! Thanks very much
