Chris - you just posted this picture, and look how many comments already! It is a great photo in so many ways, love it, just hope it was the last snowfall for the year!

Chris Lord replied:

It wasn't but I do think we are done now. I love shooting in the snow but the 8-mile walk I did that day got me soaked to the skin and caused the rear screen on my Sony to fail so I had to take it in for repair. It was so worth it though for the pics I got that day! Much pleased that you enjoyed this one Steve, thank you very much indeed.

I love the tones and atmosphere and snow and that lone umbrella'd figure! Gorgeous work! l/f!

Chris Lord replied:

That eight-mile walk around town in the snow destroyed the rear screen on my camera which now has to get fixed and I got soaked to the skin! But it was so worth it for the fun pics I collected that day! Glad you liked this one Meg, thanks so very much.

About Chris Lord

Chris Lord

Contemporary Photographic Art and Travel Photography. I'm the Head Pixie and Pixel Pusher at Pixielated Pixels, British born and bred but New York City-based. I first picked up a camera over 50 years ago. After all these years I am finally happy, creating the images I always dreamed of. Shooting film and printing in the darkroom never gave me as much pleasure as powerful computers and Adobe's wonderful software does today. I began working with computers in the mid-1980s, and now I have become confident and competent with the tools at hand and feel that the world has finally caught up with my eclectic artistic vision. Intense and powerful colors and a somewhat surreal take on reality are the way my mind works and I enjoy producing images...
